Haven is a comprehensive end-to-end solution designed to protect communities, fostering real-time connections among users, institutions, and emergency responders during crisis situations. Inspired by a close friend’s encounter with sexual assault, founder Nelson Lee drew upon his experience from his role on the University of Toronto’s Governing Council, overseeing the university’s $3B annual operating budget, to initiate Haven’s journey.
Today, Haven’s platform is embraced by various prestigious institutions and organizations across Canada, including the University of Ottawa Student’s Union and Victim Services Toronto.
Haven released its app, ‘Haven – Safety Locator & Alert’, on the App and Google Play Store in 2021. The Haven app can download here: bit.ly/DownloadHaven.
